Transferring Assets Within Your Organization

For those users that utilize the Journal Voucher creation by G/L Post Codes within the application, there are times when an asset may be moved to a new Business Unit, Department, or . As such the resulting journal Voucher should reflect the change in the allocation of depreciation expense and accumulated depreciation being accounted for. The Asset Structure Transfer page provides the user with the option to transfer an individual asset from one financial accounting structure to another at a given period end date.

In the example above, we are transferring Asset ID 00006 from the WorthIT Software division to our Consulting Services division. On the right side is the confirmation details, along with an as-of year for which to post the transfer.
