Folders
Using Folders (Tags) in WorthIT Fixed Assets
Folders (tags) can be used to provide flexible categorization of your assets. They won't impact your depreciation calculations, but they offer a great way to group assets so that your reports are in a more readable format. An asset can belong to multiple folders/tags.
Adding Folders/Tags
Go to the Folders page and click "Add Folder". The form will pop up which is very simple.
Fields
Folders support hierarchical tagging. This means that you can have multiple levels of groupings.
Folder ID: The top-level of grouping. In the screenshot above, you can see it is set as "Computing". Tab Name: The second-level of grouping for further categorization. In this example, we have a big bucket with "Computing", then we get more granular with "Mobile Phones". Item: This is the actual tag name and the lowest level in the hierarchy. This is the value that you will assign to an asset. In this case, it is set to "iPhone".
Using Folders/Tags
To add a folder/tag to an asset, go to the asset details page for the asset in question. On the right side of the screen you will see a dropdown/search box to find your desired tag.
NOTE: You can add multiple folders to a single asset. Don't forget to click "Save" at the bottom of the screen!
Then when just in view mode on the asset details screen, you will see the tags accordingly:
